If you live in the US you know healthcare insurance is a nightmare, to say the least. Understanding how to handle insurance claims is something millions of Americans struggle with daily.

Better Inc. is a company determined to help regular people getting their healthcare bills claimed, and paid for.
I got to help the small team bring their idea from 0 to 1. Kicking off an MVP allowed me to experiece a true startup environment, with investor rounds, quick decisions, close collaboration, and wearing many, many different designer hats.

I was a contractor at Flipboard to explore and expand on onboarding solutions. I was pretty much given free reign to ideate on new user experiences and jam with the design team—pretty sweet! During this part of my career top of funnel journeys and user onboarding was my absolute biggest passion.

I worked on ideas for conveying the product value in early funnel experiences, reducing friction on the login page, and personalization for the interest/news curation setup during the first customer session.

2018
I designed the first version of the social fashion app, Attire. It allows you to create styles from a wide variety of models, clothing, accessories and backgrounds. The work included account setup, onboarding, feed, search, styling, notifications, and profile experience. This app enables fashion icons to super efficiently put together fashion inspiration to share with their community, from the comfort of their home. The part we focused on the most was the styling functionality. I wanted to give as much visual real estate to the model and clothes, and not clutter the experience with a ton of buttons. I iterated a lot on touch and swipe interactions to change and browse categories, which was a welcome interaction design challenge.

My work primarily involved carrying out research and designing concepts to evaluate experiences of presenting eco-friendly ride alternatives, driver ratings, payment solutions, a clearer ride status, and more. The research included pitching a user study plan, running competitive analyses, a impact vs. effort brainstorm, in-person user studies with target customers, and pitching a client project with proposed improvements to Taxi Stockholm stakeholders.

	FiltreteAmazon Alexa skill
Google Assistant app

2018
When I was working at Bontouch I designed my first voice app for Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa—Filtrete.
Filtrete is an air filter product by 3M. Their smart air filters monitor how much life they have left, and through bluetooth you can check when they need replacing.
We built voice apps where you could check on the filter life, the outdoor air quality, and add new replacements to the Alexa shopping list.
I had never designed anything like this and the challenge was so fun! I learned so much—from how to mock up conversations trees, to writing and previewing pronounciation and tone using the Amazon and Google voice developer tools. In 2018 the voice tools had a looooooong way to go. It wasn’t easy to design, but learning together with my awesome developers turned challenge into fun. If you’re getting into voice design I recommend reading this book.
Designing for voice interactions allowed me to lean into a very human-centric approach to design, for what is more human than spoken language?

	Dropbox Commentswww.dropbox.com2015
While I was on the Dropbox Commenting team, I worked on evolving the comment section on a file preview, and designed the first evolution of Dropbox file annotations.
The goal really fascinated me; keeping the conversation and feedback right where file lives—not in a separate email thread or chat. We saw a huge opportunity to help our users make collaboration a lot easier and faster.
The design work had really fun challenges. Some include creating an intuitive comment ordering, introducing conversation threading, ensuring interaction consistency across all kinds of file types, annotation visual strategy to work on top of any type of background, highlighting accessibility, visualizing comment status, etc.
This project allowed me to go deep on a very niche user workflow, interaction design and accessibility.

I worked on many things on Dropbox Paper throughout the years. The android app, rich formatting, data tables, growth experiments, onboarding systems, notification emails, mobile comments, template library, and more. Countless of hypotheses, problem statements, success metrics, A/B tests, and user research.
There’s something about Paper that I will always have a soft spot for. In fact, I wrote a love letter to it.
And beyond having helped shape the product which shaped the perception of many web editors today, having been part of the Paper team will be one of my career’s greatest achievements. Some of the best and brightest people I know in tech have passed through this team. I’m proud to have worked on it.

2011-2014,
2017
I first joined Spotify in 2011 part-time while in college to shape a brand ambassador program focused on brand awareness, event organization and recruitment at universities. Boy, was it a small and fun company back then!
From 2011-2014 I worked as a part-time employee (anyone remember Spotify apps?), and ultimately wrote my master thesis on designing developer sites there. In 2017 I came back to work on the Growth Operations team as a consultant. We finalized the design and build of the Spotify Freemium app — a standalone free experience, instead of the Premium app with features gated behind pay walls. I shaped the user onboarding, and migration experience for existing non-paying users. Separately, I defined visual and usage guidelines for callouts on Android (snackbar, toasts, tooltips, and alerts) which were adopted broadly.
I’m thankful for having worked at a place during hypergrowth, designed for “emotional content” through music, and partnered with some of the brightest in the biz.The biggest bonus? I also acquired some of my best lifelong friendships at Spotify.
